Hometown Checking

Hometown Checking is a non-interest bearing account with unlimited transactions and no minimum balance requirement. Statements are mailed monthly according to the cycle date chosen by the bank.

Minimum Deposit – A $50.00 initial deposit is required to open the account. 

Monthly Fee – The monthly fee is $7.95 for Hometown Basic Checking. You may choose to accept e-statements and reduce the monthly fee to $5.70. The monthly fee for Hometown Family Checking is $9.95. You may choose to receive e-statements and reduce the monthly fee to $7.70. See below for more information regarding Hometown Basic and Hometown Family Checking benefits.

• Cellular Telephone Protection² – Receive up to $300 of replacement or repair costs if your cell phone is stolen or damaged, in the U.S. and abroad. Maximum of two claims per eligible account, per twelve-month period.  Covers up to the first three phones on a cellular telephone bill paid through your Hometown Checking account.
• 24-hour Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance²
  • Hometown Basic – Receive up to $10,000 of 24-hour Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance. (Coverage divides equally on joint accounts and reduces by 50% at age 70.)
  • Hometown Family – Receive up to $30,000 of 24-hour Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance. Coverage increases to $100,000 while traveling on a Common Carrier, as defined in the insurance certificate. Up to $2,500 Spouse coverage and up to $2,500 Dependent Child coverage. (Coverage divides equally on joint accounts and reduces by 50% at age 70.)

Account holder will receive all Guide to Benefit/insurance documents as well as complete instructions on how to access all benefits upon account opening.
