Premier Checking

Premier Checking is a non-interest-bearing account with unlimited transactions. Statements are provided monthly according to the cycle date chosen by the bank.

Minimum Deposit – A $50.00 initial deposit is required to open the account.

Minimum Balance Fee – A $2.00 minimum balance fee is applied if the average daily balance falls below $200.00 during the statement cycle ** The average daily balance is calculated by adding the balance in the account for each day of the statement cycle and dividing that figure by the number of days in the statement cycle.

Statements – A $3.00 monthly statement fee will be charged for paper statements. To waive this fee, go paperless and sign up for electronic statements (e-statements).

This account will become Dormant after 48 months of inactivity.

Hometown Family Checking

Hometown Family Checking account is a non-interest-bearing accounts with unlimited transactions. Statements are provided monthly according to the cycle date chosen by the bank.

Hometown Family Checking Minimum Deposit - A $100.00 initial deposit is required to open the account.

**Monthly Fee – The monthly fee for Hometown Family Checking is $5.00. You may choose to receive e-statements and reduce the monthly fee to $4.00. See below for more information regarding Hometown Family Checking benefits.

Hometown Family Checking  Account Features Include:

• 24-hour Accidental Death and & Dismemberment Insurance
• Up to $30,000 for coverage that divides equally between jointly owned accounts and reduces by 50% at age 70.  Coverage increases to $100,000 while traveling on a Common Carriers, as defined in the insurance certificate. Up to $2,500 Spouse Coverage and up to $2,500 Dependent Child coverage.**

Hometown Family Checking - Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance coverage up to $30,000.00.

Benefits are available to personal checking account owner(s), their joint account owners and their eligible family members subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Guide to Benefit and/or insurance documents for the applicable Benefits. Benefits are not available to a “signer” on the account who is not an account owner or to businesses, clubs, trusts, organizations and/or churches and their members, or schools and their employees/students.  Family includes: Spouse, persons qualifying as domestic partner, and children under 25 years of age and parent(s) of the account holder who are residents of the same household.

This account can only be used by individuals for personal use, Non-Profit, Public Money, and Sole Proprietorships. Corporations, partnerships, associations, estates, business trusts or other juridical entities are not eligible by Federal Regulation.

Please call your local branch, or 1-800-515-FBNM (3266), to find out the current interest rate for this account. 

Your interest rate and annual percentage yield may change at any time without notice. You must maintain a minimum balance of $1,000.00 in your account each day to earn the APY quoted. Check images and statements will be mailed monthly.

Daily Balance Computation Method

Interest is calculated by the daily balance method which applies a daily periodic rate to the balance in the account each day.

Compounding and Crediting

Interest begins to accrue on the business day you deposit cash and on us items to your account. All other noncash items (checks) will begin to accrue on the business day we receive credit for the deposit, according to the collection schedule established by the Federal Reserve Bank. Interest will be compounded monthly and credited to the account monthly.

Minimum Balance Requirements

The minimum balance required to open this account is $1,000.00. If your balance falls below $1,000.00 on any day in the statement cycle, your account will be subject to a $10.00 Minimum Balance Fee for that statement cycle.

This account will become Dormant after 48 months of inactivity.

This account is eligible for a Farmers Bank Debit card.
